Swissted | Swiss Modernist Punk, Hardcore & Indie Flyers

#Love http://www.swissted.com/ (found via @andrewdotdobson)

Swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer Mike Joyce, owner of stereotype design in new york city. Drawing from his love of punk rock and swiss modernism, two movements that have absolutely nothing to do with one another, mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, and indie rock show flyers into international typographic style posters. Each poster is sized to the standard swiss kiosk dimensions of 35.5 inches wide by 50 inches high and set in Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk Medium, all lowercase. Every single one of these shows actually happened.

Plink Multiplayer Music Experience

Plink is a multiplayer music experience with a super intuitive user interface. Simply by clicking and moving your mouse you create music in real time. You can play by yourself or together with three friends (or strangers). No hassle, just plain fun music creation.Note: Plink is a Chrome experiment. It’s built with HTML5, JavaScript and the under development Web Audio API. Because of this you most likely need to use the latest version of Chrome for smooth playback.

Beastie Boys | Full Length 'Fight For Your Right' Video

Yes Yes Yes....

Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right (Revisited) Full Length

Make Some Noise - uploaded by the Beastie Boys

"Good people, unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the “clean” version of our new album, The Hot Sauce Committee pt 2 has leaked. So as a hostile and retaliatory measure with great hubris we are making the full explicit aka filthy dirty nasty version available for streaming on our site. We hope this brings much happiness, hugs, and harmony. Enjoy Kikoos for life!" http://blog.beastieboys.com/

2011 release, the long-awaited eighth album from the Hip Hop/Rock trio. Hot Sauce Committee Part Two was produced by Beastie Boys and mixed by Philippe Zdar. This album marks Mike "Mike D" Diamond, Adam "Ad Rock" Horovitz and Adam "MCA" Yauch's first full length effort since 2007's Grammy-winning all-instrumental The Mix-Up.

Erik Nitsche's Modernist Decca Album Covers

"Nitsche moved back to Geneva in 1960 where he founded ENI (Erik Nitsche international). He produced pictoral history books; ambitious volumes such as the histories of transportation, aviation, photography, astronomy and chemistry. His largest project was a twenty volume set visualizing the history of music, from classical to jazz, composition to instrumentation. He managed to select and organize great masses of material." http://www.iconofgraphics.com/Erik-Nitsche/

KRAFTWERK | Artwork, Music, Thinking

This is a collection of artwork & photos from one of my all time favourite bands, Kraftwerk. There are finds from gigs and Japanese versions of their albums and I've also tracked down some real treats on YouTube, including Kraftwerk on Italian RAI TV in 1981 where Ralf sings in Italian - a rare colour version of Roger Mainwood's 1979 trippy animation for Autobahn in 2 parts - a fantastic Tomorrow's World clip of Kraftwerk's Robots in action dated from 1991 (so people think in the video comments) - Kraftwerk Pocket Calculator played on a Bee Gees Rhythm Machine which is what Ralf Hutter used live, and I urge you to watch the excellent Kraftwerk documentary, made by Malik Bendjelloul for Swedish TV's Pop i fokus in 2001 which has interviews with Karl Bartos, Wolfgang Flur, Bjork, Moby, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Peter Saville - divided into 3 parts. Enjoy...

For the Love of Rave ☺ A Collection of 80's & 90's Flyers

Whilst not being the embodiment of elegant design, these flyers capture the frenzied spirit of Acid-House & Rave, the cultural movement of the 90's. Best enjoyed listening to the AGT Rave Cru - BLOC 2011 Promo Mix here: http://soundcloud.com/agtravecru/agt-rave-cru-bloc-2011-promo-mix#
